Reviews and Ratings Management

Reviews and Ratings help build trust among your customers by showing what other people think about your products. You can manage them easily from your Zepio admin panel.


Where to Find Reviews and Ratings

  1. Login to your Zepio admin panel.
  2. From the left side menu, go to Plugins > Reviews & Ratings.

What Can You Do Here?

  • View all reviews submitted for your products.
  • Approve reviews to show them on your website. Reviews will be visible to customers only after approval (if auto approve is disabled).
  • Reply to reviews as an admin to engage with your customers and show responsiveness.

Auto Approve Reviews

In the reviews settings, you will see an option called Auto Approve.

  • If Auto Approve is enabled:

    • Reviews submitted by customers will be published automatically without admin approval.
    • This saves time if you trust your customers and want reviews to appear immediately.
  • If Auto Approve is disabled:

    • Reviews will require manual approval by admin before they are visible on your website.
    • This is recommended if you want to check and approve each review to maintain quality and prevent spam.

Importing Reviews via Bulk CSV

If you already have reviews collected from Shopify or any other e-commerce website, you can import them in bulk instead of adding them one by one.

How to Import Reviews Using CSV

  1. Go to Plugins > Reviews & Ratings.
  2. Click on Import Reviews (CSV).
  3. Download the sample CSV file to understand the required format.

Sample CSV File Fields

Your CSV file should have these columns:

  • Product Name – The exact name of the product as listed in your store.
  • Customer Name – Name of the person who gave the review.
  • Rating – A number rating like 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5.
  • Review – The text content of the review.

Make sure your CSV matches this format before uploading to avoid errors.

  1. After preparing your CSV file, click Choose File and upload it.
  2. Click Import to add all reviews to your store in one go.

Approving Reviews

  • All new reviews will be in Pending status by default if Auto Approve is disabled.
  • To show a review on your website:
    1. Click on Approve next to the review.
    2. The review will now be visible on the product page for customers to see.

Admin Reply to Reviews

You can reply to any customer review to thank them or address their concerns.

  1. In the Reviews & Ratings section, click Reply next to the review.
  2. Enter your reply and click Submit.
  3. Your reply will be visible under the customer’s review on the product page.

Important Note

  • Enable Auto Approve if you want reviews to be published automatically without admin approval.
  • If Auto Approve is disabled, always check and approve genuine reviews to build trust among your customers.
