How Abandoned Cart Recovery works
Updated 6 days ago
Abandoned Cart Recovery helps you recover lost sales by automatically sending push notifications to customers who added products to their cart but did not complete the purchase.
What is Abandoned Cart Recovery?
When a customer adds items to their cart and leaves without completing payment, their cart is saved as an abandoned cart. This feature sends them a push notification to remind them about their pending cart and encourage them to complete the order.
Steps to Enable Abandoned Cart Recovery
-
Login to your Zepio admin panel.
-
From the left side menu, go to Plugins > Abandoned Cart Recovery.
-
Here, you will see the Abandoned Cart Recovery plugin settings.
-
Enable the plugin by toggling it to On if it is not already active.
-
Set the time interval (in minutes) after which the push notification should be sent.
- Example: 60 minutes (for 1 hour), 180 minutes (for 3 hours).
-
Set up your notification message content:
- Write a short and clear notification message that reminds customers about their pending cart.
- Example: “You left something in your cart. Complete your order now before it goes out of stock!”
-
Upload a notification image:
- This image will appear in the push notification.
- Use a clear and relevant image that grabs attention (for example, your store logo or a cart image).
-
Choose where the notification will redirect the customer when they click on it:
- Cart Page: Takes them directly to their cart to review and complete the order.
- Home Page: Takes them to your store’s home page if you prefer general redirection.
-
After setting everything, scroll down and click Apply Changes to activate the settings.
How It Works
- Once enabled, the system automatically tracks customers who leave without completing their order.
- After the set time interval (in minutes), it sends a push notification to their device with your configured message and image.
- When customers click the notification, they will be redirected to the page you selected (cart page or home page) and can complete their purchase easily.
Note
- Use short, polite, and action-oriented language in your notification messages to encourage customers effectively.
- Choose a clean, attractive notification image to improve click rates.
